These terms govern how you may use resources created by Legacy Scripts ("we", "us"). They apply to every Legacy Scripts product, however you obtained it.
1. Who you buy from
You do not buy from us. Legacy Scripts licenses its resources to Tebex Limited, and Tebex sells the licence on to you as the merchant of record. Your purchase contract is with Tebex.
That means Tebex takes the payment, issues the invoice, handles VAT and sales tax, and is the seller for the purposes of consumer law. Tebex's own checkout terms govern that transaction. These terms govern only what you may do with the resource once you have it.
We are the author of the resource and the owner of its intellectual property, and we provide the updates and support described below.
2. What you have
You have a licence to use the resource, not ownership of it. All intellectual property rights in our resources — the source code, assets and documentation — remain ours.
Each resource is available in two builds:
- Open — the full Lua source is included. You may read and modify it.
- Escrow — the configuration is editable and the core code is protected by Tebex's escrow system.
The build you receive is the one selected at checkout. Holding one build does not entitle you to the other.
3. What your licence allows
Your licence is non-exclusive and non-transferable, and covers running the resource on any FiveM server you own or operate. There is no per-server fee — one licence covers your whole community.
"You" means one person or one organisation. The licence does not extend to servers owned by other people, and it cannot be transferred, resold or assigned.
You may:
- Install and run the resource on any server you own or operate.
- Modify an Open build for your own servers.
- Take backups for your own use.
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, lease or give the resource away, in whole or in part, modified or unmodified.
- Publish the source anywhere others can reach it, including public GitHub repositories, forums, leak sites or Discord servers.
- Install it for a server you do not own or operate, including as a paid service for a client.
- Remove or obscure copyright notices, licence checks or attribution.
- Use the resource, or code taken from it, to build a competing product.
Breaching these restrictions ends your licence immediately.
4. Delivery
Resources are delivered by Tebex once payment clears. Delivery is part of your transaction with Tebex, not with us. If a download does not reach you, tell us and we will help you chase it, but the mechanism is theirs.
5. Updates and support
Your licence includes updates to that resource for as long as we keep publishing them. We do not promise a particular update schedule, and we may stop maintaining a resource — if we do, your licence to keep using the last released version continues.
Support runs through our Discord server on a best-effort basis. It covers installation, configuration and defects in our resources. It does not cover changes you have made, conflicts with third-party resources, or general server administration.
6. Requirements and compatibility
Our resources are built for FiveM servers running the frameworks listed on each product page — QBX, QB and ESX. Please check that a resource suits your server before buying. A resource not working on a setup it was never advertised as supporting is not a defect.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Because Tebex is the seller, refunds and any statutory consumer rights arising from a purchase are matters between you and Tebex Limited, under Tebex's terms and refund policy.
We still help. Tell us what went wrong and we will diagnose it, fix it where we can, and support a refund request with Tebex where one is warranted — see Refunds. But the decision and the money are Tebex's.
8. Availability
We aim to keep our resources available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change as a resource is developed.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected to a resource is limited to the amount paid for that resource. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost server population, lost revenue, or lost data.
Our resources are supplied as they are. We do not warrant that they are free of defects or that they will meet your particular requirements. This does not affect any statutory rights you have against Tebex as the seller.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your licence is the one published when you obtained it. The date at the top shows when this version was published.
11. Governing law
These licence terms — meaning the permissions and restrictions in sections 2 and 3 — are governed by Swedish law.
This does not affect your contract with Tebex, which is governed by Tebex's own terms, nor any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
